Grilled Fig, Brie, and Prosciutto Sandwich

  • Ingredients
    8 slices sourdough bread
    3 tablespoons fig preserves
    6-8 figs thinly sliced
    1⁄2 lb brie cheese
    4 ounces  prosciutto
    3 tablespoons  unsalted butter, softened
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 tablespoon rosemary

    Directions
    1. Spread the fig preserves onto 4 slices of bread.

    2. Cut the Brie into thin slices and lay 2-3 slices of Brie over the preserves.Then add about three slices of fig on top of the brie. 

    4. Lastly, arrange the prosciutto over the Brie and top with the remaining 4 slices of bread.

    5. Spread half of the butter over the tops of the sandwiches and sprinkle with brown sugar and rosemary. Press the Rosemary down then invert onto a hot skillet or pan. Spread the remaining butter on the other side of the sandwiches and again sprinkle with brown sugar. 

6. Cook for about two minutes or until the bread is golden brown then flip and cook the other side. 

7. Cut in half to serve.
