Garlic Aioli Turkey Burger Sliders

Ingredients

1 package of @kingshawaiian Butter Rolls

1.5 lbs ground turkey

1 teaspoon Kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Ketchup

1/2 teaspoon Trader Joes Gren Goddess Seasoning (optional)

8 slices Sharp White Cheddar or American cheese

1 large white onion, sliced into 1/2” slices

Garlic Butter Bun Topping

½ teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 tsp poppy seeds

2 tablespoons butter, melted

Garlic Aioli Sauce

¾ cup mayonnaise

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 ½ tablespoons lemon juice

¾ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 375° and line your baking dish or tray with parchment paper. The baking dish should be the exact size of the amount of rolls you are using. The dish I use is linked here:

2. Season raw ground turkey and press into parchment lined tray. This will make the ground turkey into a rectangular shape once cooked.

3. Bake at 375° for 25-34 minutes or until juices run clear on top and your meat reaches 160 F.

4. While the meat is cooking prepare your rolls and sauce, and grill your onions. Using a bread knife, cut all the rolls in half, creating a giant top layer and bottom layer. Do not separate the buns individually. Set aside and brush tops with butter mixture.

5. In a small bowl combine all garlic aioli ingredients and refrigerate.

6. You can take this time to grill onions as well. I cut my onions into 1/2” thick slices (do not separate onion rings) and grilled them in 2 tbs of salted butter and 1 tsp. of olive oil on medium heat until browned on both sides. (About 4 minutes total)

7. Once the ground turkey has finished baking remove the pan from oven and carefully pull the parchment and burger from tray, draining the excess juice and letting it rest on a cutting board while you prepare the bread.

8. Pat your baking dish dry and layer in a new piece of parchment paper. Place your bottom half of bread in the dish, followed by your large burger patty on top of the rolls with two spatulas. Add cheese and top bun and cover with foil. Bake for 5 more minutes until the cheese is melted then carefully remove the top buns and add garlic aioli sauce and lettuce. Top with the final layer of buns. Slice and Serve.

TIPS: Do not add garlic aioli to all the burgers beforehand if you plan on refrigerating some and saving for later.
