Boozy Dole Whip

Dole Whip Recipe - Disney Copycat Recipe

Ingredients for Lighter Version (as shown on IG)

4 cups frozen pineapple chunks

1 large very ripe Frozen Banana

(1) 13.5 fl oz Trader Joe’s Organic Coconut Milk, Reduced Fat (*See Notes)

3 oz Vanilla Rum *Omit for non-alcoholic drink

1/2 cup toasted sweetened coconut (for topping)

Disneyland Copy Cat Sweetened Version

4 cups frozen pineapple chunks

1 large very ripe Frozen Banana

(1) 13.5 fl oz Organic Full Fat Coconut milk (*See Notes)

1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

1/8 tsp. Salt

3 oz Vanilla Rum *Omit for non-alcoholic drink

1/2 cup toasted sweetened coconut (for topping)

Notes: I used Unsweetened coconut milk in my IG version as I find the pineapple and ripened frozen banana add enough sweetness. Especially with the vanilla rum. The authentic Dole Whip Version is sweetened with the ice cream, however you could also use sweetened coconut milk and omit the ice cream and it is very delicious as well.

Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients (minus the toasted shredded coconut) in a blender and blend until smooth and ultra creamy, pushing down the pineapple chunks with a spoon if necessary. Blend for about 3 minutes.

  2. Freeze the mixture for 30-40 minutes, then transfer to a piping bag with a 1M “star” tip (to get the iconic Dole Whip swirl) or pour right into glasses. Top with toasted sweetened coconut.
