Glitter Dipped Mason Jars

What you need
Krylon Spray Paint (Glossy Black and Metallic Gold & Silver)
Glossy Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Recollections or Martha Stewart Glitter

Directions
1. Turn your jar upside down on a piece of cardboard and spray your jar with spray paint.  Stand at least 12" away from the jar as you spray. Don't worry if it's not totally covered. Let it dry a bit then spray some more.

2. Let dry for 1 hour (if it's cold) and 30 minutes if it's hot.

3. Once your jar is dry. use a 1" paint brush to brush some Mod Podge on the bottom portion of your jar. Sprinkle with glitter. It's best to do this in sections so your glue doesn't dry. If you want to seal your glitter you can put another coat of Mod Podge over the glitter, but it does take a bit of the glittery "gleam" away.

Notes: Be careful with these jars. Spray paint will chip if scratched and you should not get the outside of the jar wet. These are decorative jars.

Also, to get a perfect straight line on your jar you can lay it down on the table and place a piece of paper over the jar and you can use that line to guide you. Do not use tape as it will pull off the spray paint.
