Thanksgiving Sliders
Thanksgiving Sliders.
I ate three for breakfast.
Literally.
These bite size sandwiches make the most perfect appetizer or easy Friendsgiving dinner. They are also quite delicious if you use day after Thanksgiving leftovers! I used carved turkey, but you can get creative and also layer ham or stuffing inside the sweet Hawaiian rolls.
As for the Nakanko Knife 🔪 that many of you have asked about, I now have a discount code for you! This knife is sharp, sexy, and made in my favorite country, Japan. King’s Hawaiian rolls
1 cup carved turkey
1 cup homemade cranberry sauce
Sliced Swiss or Gruyère cheese
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoons poppy seeds or black sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice the rolls all the way down without separating the 12 buns and lay the bottom half in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Layer the sliced turkey on the bottom rolls.
Spread the cranberry sauce over the turkey then layer your cheese.
Place the other layer of rolls on top of the meat and cheese layers.
In a small bowl, mix together Dijon mustard, melted salted butter, garlic powder, and poppy seeds. Brush mixture on top of the rolls.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the tops of the rolls are golden.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped thyme. Cut to serve.
