Coconut Bars - Easter Edition
Crust Ingredients
2 packages (2 1/4 cups) graham crackers crushed
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
2 sticks Unsalted Butter melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
Topping
3 cups sweetened shredded coconut
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
Green food coloring
Cadbury eggs
Directions
Crush your graham crackers or pulse them in a food processor. Combine the crushed graham cracker crumbs with all the other crust ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
Spread the graham mixture evenly in a thin layer on a lined 11x16 baking sheet, pressing down with your hands. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 °F.
Remove crust from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Add green food coloring to coconut shreds and use a fork to toss the coconut so your fingers don’t get green. Sprinkle coconut all over chocolate chips.
Pour sweetened condensed milk over coconut. Do not mix with a spatula.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
