Air Fryer Apple Fritters

Air Fryer Apple Fritters
Qty: 6-8 Apple Fritters
Ingredients (BROWN BUTTER GLAZE)
1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
¼ cup Butter, (½ stick)
½ tsp Vanilla bean paste
Pinch of salt
1-2 Tbsp. Milk (check thickness after 1 tsp.)
Ingredients (APPLE FRITTERS)
1 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
¼ cup Granulated Sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp kosher salt
1 ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
ā cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 tbsps Lemon Juice, fresh
2 Eggs
2 large Apples (Granny Smith or Honey Crisp), peeled and diced
Vegetable Oil or spray, for brushing
Directions
In a small sauce pan over medium heat melt your butter and allow to brown for 2-3 minutes until itās foamy and golden brown. Stir your butter occasionally so it does not burn. It should have a nice buttery nutty aroma. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and pinch of salt. Stir until combined and thickened. You can add 1 or 2 teaspoons of milk to thin out the sauce to your preference. Set aside.
Allow Preheat air fryer to 400 F for 3-4 minutes so the tray or basket is hot.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, kosher salt, and cinnamon.
Add milk, lemon juice, vanilla, and both eggs. Whisk until evenly combined, and fold in the diced apples.
Carefully line your preheated air fryer with a piece of parchment paper and scoop about ¼ cup of the batter onto your lined air fryer basket or sheet pan. Depending on the size of your air fryer you may only be able to fit 3-4 fritters at a time.
Lightly dab the tops of the fritters with oil and bake at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes or until fritters are golden brown. Flip fritters over and bake for another 4-5 minutes.
Place apple fritters on a cooling rack and drizzle with brown butter glaze while still warm. These soften pretty quickly once glazed ( they are not fried) so eat immediately!
