Viral Olympic Chocolate Loaf
We have been in France for the past two weeks so I decided to try the viral Olympic chocolate muffins, but in loaf form since we didn’t have a muffin tin 🤗 This chocolate loaf is so rich and delicious. The entire recipe comes together in about an hour and 15 minutes. I made a mini loaf below since I don’t have all my bakeware here, but the recipe will make one full size loaf with 8-10 slices.

Viral Olympic Chocolate Loaf
Ingredients
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup + 2 Tablespoons buttermilk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups All-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 mixed cup of quality semi and milk chocolate chips (and another 1/4 cup to melt and pour over once baked)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease and line a loaf tin with parchment paper. Set aside.
Beat the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add cooled butter and mix until creamed.
In a separate bowl whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder until smooth. Add buttermilk, vanilla, and egg mixture. Mix until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips, then scrape into loaf pan. Bake for 40-45 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool on a wire rack. Melt the extra chocolate separately in a pan over barely simmering water, or microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. Drizzle over slices and serve.
