DIY Felt Flower Cardigans
Ok, so I am totally obsessed with Anthropologie and everything floral and felty and freaking happy in that store. Felty is totally not a word, but seriously who cares ... How adorable are these sweaters!? I feel like everything in Anthropologie is covered in flowers and while I LOVE it all .... the sweaters are super expensive. Well I figured out how to make a more affordable version and they are so easy to make! Do you know how much these cardigans cost at boutique shops? Lots and lots and lots. Felt is uber cheap and depending on what sweater you buy, you can make these for under $15.00. I made these sweet little cardigans on Home and Family on the Hallmark Channel yesterday so if you missed the episode scroll down for the tutorial.

Directions
1. Download the Lilyshop Flower Template and print it out.
2. Cut out one of the flowers (but do not cut the petals) .... just cut out around the flower so it's a circle. Then place the cut out on the felt and cut the flower out on the felt. This way you don't need to trace the flower onto the felt. You just cut it once. Am I making sense? I know it's confusing. Sorry!
3. Once you have all your flowers cut out you want to place them on the neckline of your sweater so you aren't guessing where they go as you glue them on. It looks best to layer the flowers on top of each other.
4. Once your flowers are in place you want to place a dab of new sew fabric-tack glue on the back of the first flower and press it down to the sweater. Then dab another dot of glue on the second flower and layer it right on top.
5. If you want to add embellishments you can add a dab of glue to the center of the flowers and place a little pearl in the center. Remember if you are making these for tiny babies you will want to sew the pearl down.
6. Let dry for 12 hours and always wash by hand!
