Spring Ice Cubes

What you need
Mandarin oranges
Limes
Directions
Slice your mandarin orange in half then into 1/2” segments.
Carefully cut the orange slice from the middle to the bottom of each at an angle so it tapers in at the bottom like a carrot.
Cut your lime in half and remove the fruit, leaving just the peel. Cut the peel in lengthwise 1/4” slices.
Place one orange slice in the ice cube tray and several lime peels at the top of the orange. Tuck the lime peels under the orange slice a bit. Fill only the base of the ice cavity with water and freeze for three hours or until set.
