Christmas Tree Pancakes
Ingredients
¾ cup whole milk
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 large egg, room temp.
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter, melted but room temp.
** Add blueberries or chocolate chips for a variation.
Directions
Combine milk and vinegar in a medium bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to sour the milk. Whisk in egg, vanilla, and melted butter and set aside.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate large mixing bowl.
Pour flour mixture into milk mixture and whisk until the batter is smooth. Fill a large piping bag with batter.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and pipe in a zigzag direction from the top (small to big) until you have what resembles a Christmas tree. I also added a little tree base as seen in my pictures. Cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook one more minute. Serve with butter and syrup.
